Hi all
Well what a great nights racing, not only the Sprintcars but all classes out on a fantastic show for a huge boxing day crowd.
Our first heat we missed the set up and ended up in 11th place which is where we started. We finished 2nd in the second heat behind Jonathan Allard.
Our result in the 1st heat meant we had to start the feature from grid 8 on a fairly slick track.
Dean drove an amazing race to finish 2nd behind Jonathan and ahead of Sammy Swindell in 3rd place.
Great result and we are looking forward to our next meeting at Western Springs on the 31st December.

Baypark 17th December - Xmas Special
Unfortunately we got rained out, a real shame as there was an impressive list of entries for Saturday night and I'm sure there would of been some great racing, again great promotion allowed us to still enjoy a quick Xmas drink in the clubroom's plus a live band. Looking forward to getting back to Baypark in the New Year.

Palmerston North 10th December
A windy yet dry weekend in Palmerston North, we started the night off with Time Trails and qualified 6th.
Our first heat we finished 3rd and our second heat we crossed the line 2nd but got relegated to 3rd place after the officials sited Dean for running over the pole line, unfortunate as he was avoiding a potential incident with the car he was passing but that's the breaks.
We finished the night in 6th place, unfortunately the track was extremely slick and pretty much one lane, so where most people started is where they finished. Congratulations to Ryan O'Connor on the win and thank you again to Robertson International Speedway promotions for your hospitality
See you next Saturday at Baypark

Palmerston North 3rd December
Hi all, a bit disappointing for us and even more so for the fantastic promoters at Robertson International Speedway as we were all looking forward to a great nights racing but heavy rain had made the track pretty wet and with further rain forecast the meeting got postponed until this Saturday the 10th. See you then!

Western Springs Sprintcar Classic - 26th November
Kyla and Caleb with Donny Schatz |
We started our first heat off grid 7 and on lap 3 Dean went to rip off a tear off and tore off the whole lot so without being able to see much he managed to stay in position. Heat 2 for us we started in 4th and finished 2nd.
We qualified 8th for the pole shuffle and started off grid 7 for the feature. Dean got up to 5th and was running well when a yellow caution came out, unfortunately our tyres were done and on the restart had nothing left on them. We finished in 7th place behind Schatz, Allard, Murphy, Swindell, O'Connor and McDonald.
Congratulations to Schatz on a great win and to Jamie McDonald on a fantastic pole shuffle win that had the Western Springs crowd on its feet cheering on the Kiwis.
Also our best wishes to Carl Wilson we hope you are feeling well.
We are off to Palmerston North this weekend for the next International round, hope to see you there.

Western Springs Saturday 19th November
Well what a night for a lot of people a lot of carnage on the track tonight. We had a DNF in the first heat and finished 5th in our second heat which meant we had to start off the very back of the feature. We ended up 5th which is good for points but some minor damage to be repaired after a car spun in front of us. Congratulations to Jamie McDonald on his win for the night.
Looking forward to the International Sprintcar Meeting next Saturday night

Opening Meeting Western Springs
What a nights racing, as cold as it was it was worth it to see the feature race and the fireworks display.
Heat 1 Dean started off grid 10 and moved up to 6th and he won the second feature from grid 2.
Dean started the feature race off grid 1 and led an incredibly nail biting race with Jonathan Allard behind him for 19 and a half laps. It was fantastic racing watching them both dicing through lap traffic, Jonathan managed the pass on Dean with 1/2 a lap to go, on the last corner Dean dived in trying for the lead again but Jonathan had the speed and took the win. Congratulations to Jonathan on the win and thanks for a great race.

Baypark Opening Meeting
Opening meeting at Baypark started well with Dean finishing 4th in the first heat from grid 11, and winning the second heat from grid 4. Dean and Rodney Woods started off the front of the feature and Dean led the race until 8 laps to go when the car stopped. Gutted to finish that way after a great nights racing and still not sure what is wrong with the car but something went bang and then it stopped so not great.
Congratulations to Jamie McDonald on a great win and to Roger Bailey and Baypark for putting on a great nights racing.

Rained Out - 15th October
Well the rain looked like it might hold off, we got in some good hot laps and the car felt great. Unfortunately it rained right the way through the heat race and with everyone looking like they were on Ice Skates there wasn't a lot of forward movement for anyone.
Off home to get the car ready for opening meeting at Baypark next weekend.
